Blending Perspectives Report (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service)

This is a summary report of World Café sessions at a regional climate change workshop sponsored by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and U.S. Geological Survey of which SCIPP was invited to help facilitate a series of four climate themed collaborative discussions.

Climate Change in the SCIPP Region - Arkansas

Since 2000, major disasters have been declared 23 times in Arkansas due to flooding, severe weather, and even hurricanes. As global temperatures continue to rise, Arkansas is expected to experience an increase in public health dangers, more frequent and intense flooding, and additional stress to the state’s water resources.
