Laura Becker is a Ph.D. student at Louisiana State University. Laura holds a Masters from the University of Georgia, where she researched climate variability due to the forest damage that occurred during Hurricane Katrina. She also used the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model to conduct her research. Her current research focuses on the ocean-atmosphere interactions between the Gulf of Mexico sea surface temperatures and northern Gulf Coast precipitation and dew point temperatures.
